Enter Now for the 2025 Showroom of the Year Awards

If you take a lot of pride in your lighting showroom, now is the time to get some much-deserved industry recognition for your efforts!

Dallas Market Center (DMC) has announced the call for entries in the 16th Annual Showroom of the Year Awards, set to take place during the June 18-21 Lightovation show. This event, which is now held in partnership with veteran lighting editor Linda Longo, honors exceptional independent lighting retailers across North America.

“I am excited to be involved in the Showroom of the Year Awards because I appreciate what the competition, along with Dallas Market Center’s support, means to the lighting showroom community,” said Longo. “Lighting stores play an important role in customers’ enjoyment of their homes, and this program provides public recognition of their dedication to fulfilling that need.”

The Showroom of the Year Awards are judged on several criteria, including merchandising display, marketing and advertising, customer service and engagement, employee education and motivation, and community involvement. Finalists will be named in categories based on dollar volume, with a winning Showroom of the Year in each category. All finalists are also eligible for three specialty awards: Outstanding Merchandising Display, Exceptional Community Involvement, and Social Media Star.

Any independent lighting retailer in North America is eligible for these awards, and anyone in the industry may nominate a store. Retailers are also encouraged to enter their own business. All nominations and entries must be submitted by March 31,and both forms are available at www.dallasmarketcenter.com/soty.

Winners will be announced during the summer 2025 edition of Lightovation show at a special Showroom of the Year award ceremony open to all Lightovation attendees. Follow the hashtag #SOTYAwards on social media for the latest updates.

    1. Lighting showroom entries are grouped into categories by sales volume so that similar-sized showrooms are compared against their peers to avoid having a smaller showroom compared with a larger multi-location store.
