The deadline to nominate a lighting professional who is eager to continue her education in the field for a Women in Lighting Education Scholarship is July 27. The American Lighting Association (ALA) Women in Lighting Education Scholarship provides access to high-quality education and certification opportunities.
Scholarship consideration is based on:
• ALA membership
• Professional need
• Involvement in the lighting industry
• Availability of funds
• A short-answer essay
Each scholarship opportunity has a four-week application window, followed by a 2-3 week review period during which the committee evaluates submissions. Scholarships are awarded 6-8 weeks prior to the event to give recipients time to prepare. Application dates and event timelines are listed on the application form.
Applications are being accepted for round 1 through July 27.
