Maxim & Kichler Return to Design Hub at High Point Market

Maxim Group and Kichler are the two lighting brands featured at the reimagined Design Hub produced by the NKBA and Cosentino Group.

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), in partnership with Cosentino Group, has named the brands participating in the redesigned Design Hub at Broad Hall during High Point Market — and Kichler and Maxim Lighting are among them.

Both Maxim and Kichler are foundational lighting partners in the NKBA’s Design Hub, which opened last fall and included products from both companies. Maxim’s COO Naomi Sperling will be a guest panelist on the educational session, “The Emotional Kitchen: Designing with Light for Mood, Function & Well-Being” on Monday, October 19. And Kichler is debuting Kichler Boutique, a stand-alone permanent showroom nearby at 201 W. High Avenue.

Visitors to the “reimagined” Design Hub during the October High Point Market will find lighting fixtures from Maxim and Kichler along with products from the following brands: Newport Brass, Fabuwood, James Martin Vanities, Miele, The Sherwin-Williams Co., BlueStar, True Caliber, Cabinet Joint, Blanco North America, LG Signature, Brown Jordan, Pleina Group, and Cosentino.

According to the NKBA, these brands “will demonstrate how kitchen and bath elements can seamlessly connect with furnishings, lighting, appliances, color, and other design categories to create cohesive, whole-home environments.”

NKBA and Cosentino Group have partnered with High Point-based interior design firm Barbour Spangle to create “a new kind of show house” that offers an immersive experience for the Design Hub at Broad Hall.

“The reimagined NKBA experience at High Point Market reflects the evolution of kitchen and bath as an essential part of whole-home design,” said Bill Darcy, global president & CEO of NKBA. “Broad Hall brings together the latest in furnishings, surfaces, appliances and more, giving designers a place to discover new ideas and see how these categories are coming together to shape the future of design.”

Barbour Spangle’s design was created to bring the restorative nature of luxury to market visitors. Highlights include a moody, speakeasy-inspired kitchen and an ethereal, wellness-focused bathroom.

“Designing Broad Hall was an opportunity to honor High Point’s rich history while reflecting NKBA’s forward-looking commitment to whole-home innovation,” said Christi Barbour, founder and CEO of Barbour Spangle Design. “Through layered materials, curated brand collaborations and immersive storytelling, the space invites designers to explore what’s next in holistic luxury design.”

Furthering the conversation on the kitchen and bath industry’s whole-home influence, NKBA has partnered with the High Point Market Authority to conduct the 2026 Whole-Home Design Study.

NKBA’s Bill Darcy and Tammy Covington, HPMA president and CEO, will present the study’s findings at the first keynote presentation of market, taking place at the High Point Theatre at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17. Titled “Evolution of the Home: The Consumer Shifts Reshaping Design & What It Means for Your Business,” the discussion will examine how design professionals are collaborating across disciplines, where growth opportunities exist and how changing consumer expectations are reshaping residential design.

Panel programming at Broad Hall throughout the weekend will also dig into top findings from the 2027 Kitchen Trends Report, which will be released just ahead of High Point Market. NKBA’s biannual trend reports are among the industry’s most-anticipated resources, offering designers valuable insight into the behaviors and design influences shaping the future of the industry. Alongside top designers and brands, attendees will explore the latest findings and emerging trends poised to define the kitchen and bath landscape in 2027.
