Maxim Debuts Designer Collab at High Point

Market attendees previewed the 2027 Taniya Nayak x Maxim Lighting collection at the Design Hub.

Exhibiting at High Point Market through the shared Design Hub space in the Broad Hall building, Maxim Lighting unveiled a sneak peek of its new line with interior designer and TV personality Taniya Nayak. The full lighting collection will debut in January at Lightovation in Dallas, but select pieces were on display at the Design Hub, an immersive exhibit space organized by NKBA, Cosentino Group, and Codarus.

The Taniya Nayak × Maxim Lighting collection brings together Nayak’s experience creating memorable residential, restaurant and hospitality environments with Maxim’s expertise in lighting design and development. Drawing upon Nayak’s signature approach of “livable luxury,” the collection is intended to balance visual impact with warmth, functionality and everyday appeal.

“Taniya brings far more than national recognition to this collaboration. She brings the perspective of a working designer who understands how a room needs to look, feel and function,” said Naomi Sperling, COO of Maxim Lighting. “Her hospitality expertise, engaging personality and ability to create spaces that feel elevated without becoming intimidating make her an ideal partner for Maxim Lighting. We are excited to introduce the industry to her point of view at High Point Market and to share the complete collection in January.”

Nayak is the principal designer of Taniya Nayak Design, an award-winning, Boston-based firm serving clients nationwide. Her portfolio spans hospitality, restaurant, retail, multifamily and high-end residential design, with notable projects including Tuscan Market, Yellow Door Taqueria, select locations for Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Fleming’s Steakhouse, as well as multiple signature spaces within the Artisan Marriott Hotel in Salem, New Hampshire.

“Lighting is one of the most powerful elements in any interior because it changes not only what we see, but how a space makes us feel,” Nayak explained. “It creates atmosphere, encourages connection and gives a room its personality. Working with Maxim Lighting has allowed me to translate the way I approach interiors distinctive, welcoming and designed for real life into lighting that can become part of the moments people experience at home every day.”

Nayak has built a national following through her work across HGTV, Food Network and ABC. Her television credits include HGTV’s Rock the Block, Battle on the Beach and Build It Forward, plus Food Network’s Restaurant: Impossible and ABC’s The Great Christmas Light Fight.

At the High Point Market, a meet-and-greet Maxim & Mimosas party was held on Monday morning at the Design Hub. The gathering was followed by a panel discussion – The Emotional Kitchen: Designing with Light for Mood, Function & Well-Being – which featured Nayak as a panelist along with Maxim’s Naomi Sperling.

The Taniya Nayak × Maxim Lighting collection is the designer’s foray into lighting. Last year, she launched a collection of tile and surfacing with Genrose Stone + Tile and has designed multiple lines of high-performance wallcoverings for Len-Tex and MDC Interior Solutions.  Nayak also launched a hospitality-focused amenities collection with Erwyn.

The full collection will be on display in Maxim’s showroom in the Dallas Market Center during Lightovation.
