WithIt Launches Internship Program to Benefit Both Students & Companies

High Point, N.C.-based WithIt (Women in the Home Furnishings Industry), the professional organization dedicated to supporting and mentoring women in the home and furnishings industry, has launched an Internship Initiative. This new resource aims to bridge the gap between students seeking valuable industry experience and companies eager to mentor and develop the next generation. Whether you know of a student interested in the industry, or are with a home furnishings company looking for talent, everyone can take advantage of this free initiative which has been sponsored by Pinnacle Search Partners.

The WithIt Internship Initiative offers a centralized platform where businesses can post opportunities and students can apply. Many companies in the home furnishings industry lack formal internship programs and often rely on personal connections to find interns. This initiative helps bridge that gap. Whether your company is looking for part-time market help, a summer intern, an intern for school credit, or even a seasonal assistant for High Point or Las Vegas markets, the WithIt Internship Initiative can help.

Students and companies can visit the WithIt website to upload resumes or internship listings directly to the platform. Access the Internship Board, and start connecting with the future of the home furnishings industry.

The Internship Board allows companies to list internship positions while students can browse opportunities and apply for roles that align with their career goals and geographic location.

WithIt is actively building the infrastructure to support and grow the program, including:

•       Hosting a fully functional Internship & Job Board on the WithIt website.

•      Creating a toolkit to help companies establish and manage internship programs.

•       Engaging with the industry to support and participate in the initiative.

•       Resource for companies to build their local pipeline.

Industry leaders, companies, and educational institutions can support this initiative by posting internships, sponsoring the platform, and mentoring the next generation of home and furnishings professionals. WithIt will continue to refine and enhance the program, with future features such as a company toolkit and list of university programs across the country.
