DMC Promotes Amy Harper to Executive VP/Marketing

A 25-year veteran of the Dallas Market Center, Amy Harper takes on a new role.   

Dallas Market Center (DMC) veteran Amy Harper has been promoted to executive vice president of marketing. In that role she is responsible for the marketing division of DMC supporting both buyer and exhibitor marketing as well as events, market services, and retail development. She reports to president and CEO Cindy Morris.

Harper has been with the company since 2001, managing an increasing number of responsibilities to drive awareness, engagement, and traffic to the DMC campus beginning with retail liaison positions for apparel and accessories, international, and then assuming retail leadership for all industries. Most recently she served as senior vp/retail development and market services.

“Amy is an outstanding, customer-obsessed leader,” noted Morris. “She knows our audiences, and our business, extremely well and has successfully overseen our growth in attendance from coast to coast and internationally as well as the expansion of our major stores and buying group programs. She has the respect of our customers and team members because of her commitment to service, innovation, inspiring others, and building relationships.”

In addition to her leadership positions with DMC, Harper has served in a variety of roles with professional organizations. For Fashion Group International of Dallas, she served as regional director and president of the Fashion Group Foundation. She also served on the board for Attitudes and Attire, the non-profit supporting women’s job readiness and self-esteem.
