Innovations Lighting Appoints New VP/Sales & Marketing

Home furnishings veteran Luke Schoenly has been named the new vice president/sales and marketing for New York-based Innovations Lighting.

With more than 25 years of leadership experience in the home décor industry, Schoenly brings a deep passion for lighting and furniture design. His career in the industry began in 1998 when he connected with an Atlanta-based entrepreneur behind the early e-commerce site retromodern.com, which specialized in vintage 1960s and 1970s pop plastics. Through a shared passion for vintage design, the partnership evolved into one of the first online stores offering high-end brands such as Artemide, Flos, Herman Miller, Knoll, and Vitra. The retromodern website later expanded into a bricks-and-mortar showroom featuring domestic and European brands, including flagships for Alessi and Kartell.

Schoenly later spent more than one decade in progressive roles working for an agency model in managing sales and marketing for the entire e-commerce channel on behalf of home décor manufacturers spanning decorative accessories, furniture, lighting, textiles, and wall décor. During this 12-year period, he developed an understanding of the e-commerce landscape from a manufacturing perspective and how it shapes broader distribution strategies.

Last October, he joined Innovations Lighting as director of e-commerce, where he quickly built strong relationships across the organization. In his new vp/sales and marketing role, Schoenly will focus on removing barriers, strengthening partnerships, and “ensuring the company remains focused on its core competency as a glass manufacturer while continuing to deliver an exceptional customer experience,” according to a statement issued by Innovations Lighting.
