New Ownership for Imagine More Lighting Stores

Custom integrator Liaison Technology Group has acquired the Imagine More retail lighting showrooms and ecommerce business.

Founded in 2009 by Lenard Gale and Don Brehm, Imagine More operates four retail lighting showrooms in Northern Colorado and Cheyenne, Wyoming. Headquartered in Windsor, Colorado, the company has developed a strong regional and national presence in lighting, window treatments, integrated technology and ecommerce. Imagine More is also recognized as one of the largest Hunter Douglas dealers in the country.

Liaison Technology Group, founded by Steve Weber in 2014, is a technology integration company with several locations in Illinois, Tennessee, Florida, and Colorado. The company was recognized as the #11 custom integration company in the U.S. based on its ranking in CE Pro magazine.  Liaison designs, installs, and supports residential and commercial technology solutions.

The acquisition brings Imagine More’s four retail lighting showrooms and ecommerce business together with Liaison’s nationally recognized custom integration capabilities.

It introduces a new model for reaching and serving clients by combining the accessibility and product selection of a retail lighting business with the engineering, design and installation capabilities of a technology company. Together, the companies offer a connected range of services spanning decorative and architectural lighting fixtures, lighting design and control, window treatments, audio and video, automation, networking, security, commercial technology, and online retail and fulfillment.

The combined platform will allow clients to begin their journey in whatever way works best for them — inside a retail showroom, through online product discovery or alongside a designer, builder or technology professional. From there, Liaison and Imagine More can provide a coordinated experience of product selection, lighting and electrical design, engineering, custom integration, professional installation, automation and long-term support.

For Liaison’s manufacturing and vendor partners, the acquisition creates new ways to introduce products, influence specifications and generate demand across retail, ecommerce, residential and commercial channels. The model has the potential to reshape how custom integration companies market their services, build client relationships and expand into new categories.

Effective immediately, Imagine More has joined Liaison Technology Group through a stock sale transaction while remaining the same legal entity. This structure allows existing operations, agreements, customer relationships and warranties to continue without interruption while providing access to Liaison’s expanded resources and custom installation infrastructure. Imagine More will continue to operate under its established name while gaining access to Liaison’s expanded resources, expertise, and a broader range of integrated lighting and technology capabilities.

As part of the transition, Imagine More co-founder Don Brehm will retire after more than 15 years of helping build and lead the company. Co-founder Lenard Gale will remain with the organization as vice president of lighting sales for Liaison Technology Group.
