DMC Announces 2026 Showroom of the Year Award Winners

The winners of the 17th Annual Showroom of the Year awards were recognized Thursday, June 25, at a ceremony during Lightovation.

Hosted by Dallas Market Center alongside official media partner Linda Longo, Editor-in-Chief of Lighting News Now, the Showroom of the Year (SOTY) program honors the finest lighting retailers, naming a Showroom of the Year winner in each of three dollar-volume categories, along with three specialty award recipients.

“These winners represent the very best of what the lighting industry has to offer,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “The creativity, customer focus, and community spirit they bring to lighting retail not only earned the admiration of our judges but also raise the bar for showrooms everywhere.”

From entries and nominations received from December 2025 until March 2026, the winners were chosen from five finalists in each dollar-volume category: Revenue Under $2 Million, Revenue $2 Million to $5 Million, and Revenue $5 Million & Over. All Showroom of the Year finalists were also eligible for three specialty awards: Outstanding Merchandising Display, Exceptional Community Involvement, and Showroom of the Future.

“Choosing this year’s winners was no easy task, given the exceptional caliber of showrooms we saw across every category,” said Longo. “These retailers are setting new standards in visual merchandising, marketing, and community involvement, and their passion for the craft of lighting truly shines through. Congratulations to all!”

Winners of the 17th Annual Showroom of the Year Awards are:

•             Revenue Under $2 Million:Construction Resources, Atlanta, GA

•             Revenue $2 Million to $5 Million:Georgia Lighting, Sugar Hill, GA

•             Revenue $5 Million and Over: Lightology, Chicago

•             Outstanding Merchandising Display:Hermitage Design, Nashville, TN

•             Exceptional Community Involvement: LED Distribution Corp., Quebradillas, Puerto Rico

•             Showroom of the Future: Lighting Design, Draper, UT

Judging this year’s competition was an esteemed panel of experts: Kelly Inglis, Vancouver Island-based lighting consultant, educator, and national NKBA speaker; Kenneth Ludwig, founder of Kenneth Ludwig Chicago, a premier Midwest destination for luxury home furnishings; and John Mark Sharpe, founder of John Mark Enterprises, a celebrated Memphis-area floral and home décor company. 

Nominations and entries for the 2027 Showroom of the Year Awards, which are open to all independent lighting retailers and can be submitted by anyone in the industry as well as for your own business, will be accepted starting in December 2026, ahead of the January 6-9, 2027, edition of Lightovation. The winter show is returning to its traditional Wednesday-to-Saturday date pattern, starting concurrently with the January 6-12 Total Home & Gift Market at Dallas Market Center.
