Jeremy Salomon Joins Hinkley Following Jim Decker’s Retirement
The sales and marketing team of the lighting manufacturer has announced a key leadership transition.
Ohio-based Hinkley has appointed Jeremy Salomon to take over the role of executive vice president of sales and marketing following long-time executive Jim Decker’s retirement earlier this year. He reports to Jess Wiedemer, president.
According to an announcement from the company, Salomon will “focus on driving growth, strengthening the market positions of Hinkley brands, and building strong, lasting customer relationships that deliver a consistent, high-quality experience.”
Noted Wiedemer, “Jeremy’s experience leading integrated sales and marketing teams, combined with his track record of driving growth across complex, multi-channel organizations, makes him a strong addition to our leadership team. We are excited to have him on board as we continue to build for the future.”
Salomon brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across sales, marketing, product management and go-to-market strategy. Most recently, he has served as executive vice president at TileBar – a design resource for tile and bath – for six-and-a-half years, leading the sales, marketing, product management, and operations. He has also held leadership roles at flooring company Tarkett and TCP Lighting (Technical Consumer Products).
Decker played a key role in shaping Hinkley’s sales and marketing strategy and strengthening its market presence.

“Jim played a key role in strengthening our sales and marketing organization and elevating how Hinkley shows up in the market,” said Wiedemer. “His leadership helped drive growth, expand our presence within the industry, and bring important brand initiatives to life. We are grateful for his many contributions and are pleased that he will continue to support Hinkley in an advisory capacity as a member of our board of directors.”
Hinkley’s sales and marketing team includes Brian Mocny, director of showroom and commercial sales, and Michael Friedberg, director of ecommerce. Together they drive the company’s multi-channel strategy and customer engagement across key markets.
