Holtkötter CEO Presents New Company & Products at High Point Market

Six months after the soft re-introduction of the iconic German lighting brand, CEO Katharina Holtkötter outlined the company history, warranty and shipping details, plus debuted new products available at its year-round showroom at 518 North.

The showroom building at 518 North Hamilton in High Point, N.C., is home to 14 prestigious German brands from rugs, furniture, wall art, and porcelain tableware to lighting. Open year-round by appointment, the showroom is under the guidance of Stephanie Williamson. All of the brands shown share a distribution center in North Carolina for faster shipping throughout the U.S.

Of particular interest to lighting retailers and designers is the return of the Holtkötter brand to the American marketplace. In a presentation at the High Point Market this week, Katharina Holtkötter – the third generation to lead the company – outlined the history, warranty and shipping details, plus debuted new – alongside some popular favorites – to High Point Market attendees.

Since its soft launch in October, Holtkötter lighting is now aligned with the XOLogic and LightsAmerica programs to help streamline integration with lighting showrooms.

One of the new products is the Flex floor lamp, which has a fabric cord-covered flexible gooseneck for versatile aiming.

Holtkötter is offering a two-year limited warranty on the complete lamp fixture against defects in materials and workmanship. There is a five-year limited warranty on integrated LED components, and spare parts availability for a minimum of five years from the date of purchase to support long-term service and maintenance — which is an important factor that the company has heard from U.S. retailers.

Katharina Holtkötter also noted the Holtkötter products that are available to the U.S. market will be the same as those throughout the world. This is an important distinction from the past, where products were made specifically for the American market. (Editor’s note: this does not mean the entire Holtkötter catalogue is now available to the U.S. market, only that the products that will be distributed in North America will be made in the same factory and by the same artisans in the German headquarters factory.)
