On Friday, March 6, Coleto Brands announced several leadership changes, including the departure of its most recent CEO.
Vijay Shankar’s role will transition from executive chairman to CEO in a move that “unifies our operating leadership,” the company stated. Sean Veit – who most recently served as CEO of Coleto Brands – has left the company. “We’re immensely grateful for his contributions over the past 18 months and wish him continued success ahead,” the Coleto Brands announcement read.
Veit was a 16-year veteran of GE Lighting before joining Progress Lighting as vp/general manager in 2022 and most recently had been promoted to CEO of Coleto Brands less than two years ago.
Noted Veit in a LinkedIn post, “I want to thank the incredible team for their support and dedication to building something special. This team carved out two legacy lighting companies and combined them into one lighting powerhouse. Most teams struggle to deal with one major disruption, this team dealt with two divestitures, a merger, all the process work that comes along with it, while navigating unprecedented market volatility. I couldn’t be prouder of them and more honored to have had the opportunity to lead and position these iconic brands for their next 100 years.”
The leadership changes includes two key promotions.
Larissa Caple has been appointed chief operating officer, “expanding her role to drive enterprise execution and cross-functional alignment,” according to the company.
Kristina Christopher has been named chief marketing officer and will lead Coleto Brands’ go-to-market growth strategy and brand positioning across channels.
