Savoy House Mini Lamp Is One of Oprah’s Favorites

The TV producer and lifestyle guru has selected the Cora rechargeable accent lamp as one of her Favorite Things in 2025

Every year around the holidays, Oprah Winfrey releases her list of “Favorite Things” in the pages of O magazine. The highly curated list of products – which includes an assortment of categories and price points to appeal to numerous demographics – represent items that Oprah feels would make great gifts.

According to an interview in O magazine several years ago, O’s creative director Adam Glassman explained that while the magazine’s team begins a preliminary search starting with the January Dallas and Atlanta gift markets of each year, resulting in hundreds of products for review; Oprah personally gives the nod to those items that she believes to be particularly noteworthy. Glassman stated in the interview that “the story behind the products is always interesting to Oprah” as well as “relevance to what is happening in the world.”

Oprah’s Favorite Things, which started organically with a gift of pajamas from one of her producers that she loved so much that she wanted to share with everyone on set and in the studio audience, has taken on a life of its own since debuting in 1996.

“It’s really turned into the ultimate gift guide for everyone and anyone,” Glassman said in the interview. “We believe many people begin their holiday shopping by first seeing what’s on Oprah’s Favorite Things.”

This year, the employees of lighting manufacturer Savoy House were surprised to learn that Cora Rechargeable Mini Lamp – which debuted at June Lightovation as part of the new line Coco & Dash for Savoy House – was selected for this year’s coveted list.

“We are thrilled to have the Cora lamp selected for Oprah’s Favorite Things. It is truly an honor to be a part of the most famous holiday gift guide in the country,” remarked Leslie Killingsworth, senior vice president of marketing and merchandising at Savoy House. “We also love that Oprah suggests using a pair as beautiful, functional bookends. What a great idea!”

The Cora LED table lamp from Coco & Dash has a half-moon design in marble with a plated brass shade. It has a flat back, allowing it to be placed on a mantle or shelf without taking up much room. The portable accent lamp stands 9.88″ high and operates on a rechargeable battery, adding to its versatility because it does not need to be plugged into an electrical outlet.
