DMC & Sandow Design Group Partner for Lightovation Design + Build Day

Dallas Market Center (DMC) has announced Sandow Design Group – a design-focused media group and publisher of magazines including Interior Design and Metropolis – as a partner for Lightovation Design + Build Day on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

The inaugural Design + Build Day was held in June around Lightovation and was welcomed by interior designers, architects, and builders who enjoyed a full day of programming centered on education and connection within the lighting and design industries. Design + Build Day was developed as the next evolution of Interior Designer Preview Day, which debuted during January 2025 Lightovation.  

The upcoming Design + Build Day in January will deliver curated experiences and educational sessions specifically for interior designers, architects, and builders featuring  design thought leaders and guided showroom tours with participation from the editors-in-chief from each publication.

Unlike the June edition, when Design + Build Day was held the day before Lightovation, the January event will take place on the final day of Lightovation. Attendees will have access to expert panels, trend insights, product innovation, and exclusive networking opportunities. Interior designers, architects, builders, specifiers, and other Design + Build Day attendees are encouraged to participate in the Lightovation show, which offers more than 1 million square feet of permanent exhibits across all categories of interior and exterior lighting, plus additional programming and convenient access to other décor brands during the concurrent Total Home & Gift Market.

The publications are curating a group of top design firms to attend Lightovation for the first time with an itinerary that includes the Design + Build Day programming.
