Crestview Collection Tells Customers It Will Absorb the Majority of Tariffs

Crestview Collection informed customers that it will absorb most of the tariff increases on its lighting, wall art, accessories, and furniture sourced in China and other affected countries.

“When the administration announced a new round of tariff increases 30 days ago, we intentionally held off on raising prices — relying on pre-tariff inventory and monitoring the situation closely. However, as new shipments have begun arriving under the elevated tariff rates, the impact has become both real and significant,” explained David Lee, vp/business development, in a letter sent to customers.

“While the full tariff burden on goods from China has reached as high as 170%, we’ve made the deliberate decision to absorb the majority of that cost ourselves — limiting our price increase to just 25% on China-sourced goods. Additionally, we will implement a 5% price increase on goods imported from Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia. This adjustment reflects our shared effort to navigate rising costs together, allowing us to continue supporting your business.”

The new prices will go into effect on May 10. Retailers are encouraged to submit any pending orders prior to that date to take advantage of current pricing.

In conclusion, Lee said, “We also understand that these are challenging times for our customers. That’s why we are actively working to source more products from lower-tariff countries, and as the situation improves, we are committed to responding quickly and responsibly in your best interest. Thank you for standing with us. We are grateful for your continued partnership as we navigate this landscape together.”
