The new interface offers enhanced functionality and more intuitive navigation.
Whitsett, N.C.-based furniture, lighting, wall art, mirrors and botanicals manufacturer John-Richard has officially launched its new web platform designed to modernize the brand’s digital storefront.
Released during the spring High Point Market, the site was developed in collaboration with EMUN to introduce a refined architecture that streamlines the discovery process for site visitors. The transition provides a more user-centric browsing experience capable of supporting the scale and complexity of the John-Richard catalog.
The new interface replaces legacy design elements with a contemporary layout that allows for more intuitive navigation across product categories. A key priority of the redesign was enhancing the visual experience through high-resolution detail shots. Visitors can now sort through these images directly from the thumbnail view to see multiple facets of a design at a glance. This allows for quick comparison of functional states, such as viewing a lamp both on and off or a credenza with doors both open and closed, without needing to open the full product page.
Beyond the visual updates, the platform introduces enhanced functionality through an API-driven architecture. While the business logic and pricing models John-Richard partners rely on remain intact, the user experience has been improved through more powerful search and filtering capabilities. Visitors are now able to quickly isolate options by color, finish, material, and orientation, ensuring a more efficient process when searching the brand’s inventory for a specific look.
This launch is the first step in a series of planned site improvements. An upcoming second phase of development will introduce AI-assisted search tools featuring synonym recognition and autocorrect. Future updates will also focus on streamlining the art collection experience. These enhancements will allow users to easily toggle between different sizes and frame types within a single product view to identify the best fit for their project.
According to the company, “This investment in digital infrastructure provides a more accessible platform for viewing the brand’s work. We remain committed to providing our users with practical tools to browse, specify, and source our world class designs with ease and confidence.”
