ArchLIGHT Summit to Coincide With Lightovation
The residential lighting world melds with its commercial counterpart as Dallas Market Center offers a comprehensive presentation for industry professionals involved in both areas.
June is becoming a more important month for the lighting industry as the Dallas Market Center (DMC) will be bringing together the residential lighting showroom market and the architectural lighting community through two separate, but symbiotic, trade events.
The lighting world has increasingly experienced significant crossover between the residential, hospitality, architectural, and commercial sectors — and the DMC has responded by expanding its programming to meet that need.
For the past several markets in January and June, DMC has presented a Design + Build Day with special, robust programming designed specifically for the interior design and builder communities. Now the DMC is moving its annual ArchLIGHT Summit – which has expanded its partnerships this year to include DALI Alliance – to be co-located with Lightovation during the same week in June for even greater synergy.
For the first time, DALI Alliance – the organization behind an internationally standardized protocol for digital communication between lighting control devices – will be hosting its 2026 annual North America Summit on the DMC campus alongside ArchLIGHT Summit since their combined audience is closely aligned. DALI Alliance has already agreed to the same arrangement next year.
The new June dates are:
June 22–23, 2027: ArchLIGHT Summit
June 23–26, 2027: Lightovation
By holding these individual events together, DMC aims to create a total sourcing and education experience for the lighting industry, drawing a wider array of attendees – including designers, architects, builders, and specifiers – to Dallas in a single trip. For example, the specification-focused lighting professionals who attend ArchLIGHT Summit will have the opportunity to engage with DMC’s permanent lighting showroom community during the same week.

New location for exhibit floor
Starting with the June 2027 edition, ArchLIGHT Summit will move into newly redeveloped space on the 9th floor of the World Trade Center. This purpose-built trade show floor will offer a superior layout, scalable space, and adjacent event and meeting areas. The World Trade Center already hosts large trade events and the new home gives ArchLIGHT Summit a dedicated, customizable space to grow its exhibits, activations, and education programming.
“We are excited to continue ArchLIGHT Summit’s growth trajectory with a fresh format that is both scalable and customizable to the needs of the event and its partners,” said ArchLIGHT Summit show director Lea Tranakos.
Details on the September event
This year’s edition of ArchLIGHT Summit will be held at DMC September 15–16, and features two days of education, product discovery, and industry connection. The educational programming is bookended by keynotes from urban lighting authority Leni Schwendinger and IALD past president Andrea Hartranft. In addition, CEU-accredited sessions and networking receptions will be hosted on the show floor and inside DMC’s permanent lighting showrooms.
