This Monday brought welcome news to Innovations Lighting<\/a> customers\u2019 inboxes as the manufacturer\u2019s president Gregory Mazza  sent a letter to showrooms referencing the upheaval the tariffs are causing the retail industry and stating, \u201cLet me be clear: Innovations Lighting is here for you. We are working tirelessly and creatively behind the scenes \u2013 in what I can only describe as daily \u2018war room\u2019 strategy sessions \u2013 with government contacts, financial advisors, and our internal executive team to chart the most stable and responsible course forward. What we are choosing to do right now is not to react, but to lead with patience, poise, and purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added, \u201cThe current news around tariffs has undoubtedly stirred concern throughout our industry. We understand the questions you may have, the strain it could put on your business, and the anxiety it brings to planning ahead\u2026We\u2019ve taken the deliberate stance to pause \u2013 not out of hesitation or fear \u2013 but out of confidence that this moment will pass and resolve. Based on my ongoing conversations with highly informed individuals in government and finance, I believe there is a strong likelihood of resolution between China and the U.S. by June\u2026Until then, our inventory is fortified, and we are not raising prices or inflating margins in anticipation of something that may never materialize.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the tariff situation continues into the summer months, Mazza said that Innovations will be acting \u201cwith transparency, respect, and care. That may include price adjustments or program changes \u2014 but not until we absolutely have no choice but to do so. Any decisions made in the future will be measured and communicated with the same clarity and consideration you\u2019ve come to expect from us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mazza recalled the early days of COVID, when the company prioritized its showroom base. \u201cYou are not just our customer \u2014 you are part of the Innovations family. Our success is your success, and vice versa. We are making every effort \u2013 from tightening our own belts, absorbing what we can internally, and holding our ground \u2013 because we believe that responsible partnership means protecting each other in times like these.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He concluded with, \u201cWe are holding with you. We will only take action once there is clarity and a defined policy in place. Until then, we stand steady. We stay committed. And above all, we stay hopeful. I personally promise to communicate with you regularly and keep you fully informed about any changes we may need to make \u2014 when the time comes\u2026Thank you for your continued trust and belief in us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
