Citing feedback regarding seasonal timing, ICFF officials have announced the show will move from its customary May schedule to coincide with BDNY in November.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ICFF<\/a> (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) \u2013 which will be held next week from May 17 to 19 \u2013 has scheduled its 2027 edition to run alongside the hospitality-focused BDNY<\/a> (Boutique Design New York). Both shows will continue to take place at the Javits Center in Manhattan, but in adjacent areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ICFF organizers said that the fall timing is more convenient for attendees and exhibitors by establishing \u201ca more impactful design moment in New York, bringing together high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial design in a single setting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ICFF brand directors Odile Hainaut and Claire Pijoulat explained, \u201cAfter 37 years defining contemporary design in the U.S., we are making a move that reflects where the industry is going. Exhibitors and partners told us clearly and consistently that the spring calendar had become too compressed. November gives our community the time and focus to do business the right way, and the alignment with BDNY makes November a moment the industry won\u2019t want to miss.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Show organizers also noted that the trade show landscape has shifted in recent years with participants facing \u201ctighter budgets, more selective travel, and increasing demands on both brands and buyers [that] have raised the stakes for every trip to market. Moving ICFF to November \u2013 including the WANTED<\/a> feature \u2013 addresses this directly, offering exhibitors and attendees a less congested, more productive window with fewer competing demands and greater capacity for the kind of engagement that drives real business outcomes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ICFF and BDNY will remain two distinct, independently curated trade fairs, each with its own identity, audience, and programming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to show statistics, ICFF welcomed more than 13,000 attendees in May 2025 and BDNY drew over 16,000 in November \u2014 with only 10% overlap between their audiences. For exhibitors of both shows, it is believed that ICFF\u2019s date change will provide access to a combined and largely distinct pool of decision-makers without a proportional increase in investment. With European trade shows often held in spring and approximately 50% of ICFF\u2019s exhibitors representing international brands, the November shift is thought to be a way for more international companies to participate by not having the constraints of a compressed timeline of spring events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ahead of its November 2027 edition, ICFF will maintain a year-round presence through a series of targeted events:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
