A WARN notice was issued this month to workers at Barn Light Electric\u2019s factory announcing plans to consolidate operations to parent company Illumus\u2019 headquarters.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four months after its acquisition of the privately held, domestic lighting manufacturer Barn Light Electric, Illumus \u2013 which also operates the brands Green Creative and Industrial Lighting Products (ILP) and NUROAIR<\/em> Bluetooth Controls \u2013  has issued a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice to workers at Barn Light\u2019s Titusville, Florida, facility, according the Orlando Business Journal<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The manufacturing plant in Titusville \u2013 where Barn Light has been located since it was founded in 2008 \u2013 will be closed and some workers and operations relocated to Illumus\u2019 180,000-sq.-ft. headquarters in Sanford, Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Orlando Business Journal<\/em> reported that 84 workers spanning the customer service, product engineering, sales, and manufacturing departments will be laid off. According to the article, nearly all of the layoffs will occur by  the end of April \u2014 with the exception of \u201cfive managerial employees, who will remain through September 30 to oversee the transition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Illumus\u2019 director of marketing Trew Benishek told the Orlando Business Journal<\/em> that some Barn Light employees have been offered to stay on.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
