Pennsylvania-based Lutron Electronics Co<\/a>., Inc., has acquired Tanury Industries<\/a>, which has supplied metal faceplates to Lutron for the past 25 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A premier surface finishing and metal coatings company founded in 1946, Tanury\u2019s metal work can be seen on high-end motorcycle and automotive parts as well as private and commercial aviation, marine hardware, high-end gifts, jewelry, and more. Tanury\u2019s operations will remain in Lincoln, Rhode Island, and Lutron will continue to invest in and grow capabilities for all existing Tanury customers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe strategic acquisition of Tanury enables Lutron to bring exceptional plating and coating capabilities in-house, building on Tanury\u2019s decades of manufacturing excellence and technical expertise,\u201d said Walter Peake, executive vice president at Lutron. \u201cThese enhanced capabilities will drive greater marketplace differentiation and innovation, expand Lutron\u2019s portfolio of premium metal finishes, and support the timely delivery of superior metal-finished products to customers worldwide.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As two family-owned businesses, Lutron and Tanury share core values that make this acquisition a strong strategic and cultural fit. The metal finishing company\u2019s customer-focused approach, rigorous quality control processes, and long-standing investment in research and development make it attractive to the Lutron brand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
