Lighting News Now<\/em>, Barry was born on December 3, 1942, in New Haven, Conn., to Evelyn and Arthur Levett and lived a life centered around family, kindness and genuine connection with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\u201cBarry\u2019s greatest joy came from his family. He was a loving husband to his beloved wife, Susie (n\u00e9e Lasman), with whom he shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. He was a loving father to his daughter, Jen, and son-in-law Jordan, and absolutely adored his granddaughters Avery and Taylor. Barry was preceded in death by his son Todd, whom Barry cherished deeply. He was a special friend to many.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBarry built a career as a successful businessman, having owned House of Lights in Cleveland and establishing himself as a respected figure in the lighting industry. His leadership extended beyond his business when he served as president of the previous American Lighting Association. Barry also dedicated his time to meaningful causes, serving on the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKnown for his generous spirit and welcoming smile, Barry had a special gift for connecting with people. He loved tending to his garden and was a passionate Cleveland Cavaliers fan. Throughout his life, Barry faced his health challenges with remarkable dignity and grace.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Private funeral services were held on Sunday, Sept. 14 at Mayfield Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
